How calculator data, analytics and advertising are handled.
Calculator data
No account is required. Calculations run in your browser. Values, currency, units, language and vehicle selection may remain in local browser storage until you clear it.
Shared links
Copying a result link puts the inputs in its URL. Recipients can read them, and opening that URL can put it in browser history and server logs. Ordinary input edits do not update the URL. Do not include confidential information in shared links.
Analytics
Google Analytics 4, loaded through Google Tag Manager, helps us understand page visits and calculator use. It may process browser and device information, online identifiers and usage events. Analytics loads only when the CMP grants analytics storage. Unknown or unconfigured states are not permission. Calculator field values are omitted from usage events, and the analytics page URL uses the path without query parameters.
Advertising and the consent message
The Google AdSense script loads to provide the consent interface and advertising service; its request transmits ordinary connection information. Advertising behaviour and storage depend on Google consent signals and location. This does not mean that no request reaches Google before consent. How Google uses data from partner sites.
Your choices
Use “Privacy choices” in the footer. Analytics is paused while the controls reopen and until a new permission is available. The Google interface can depend on your region and content blockers. You can clear cookies and local storage in your browser; this also removes saved calculator preferences.
Server information and contact
The hosting provider processes request information needed for delivery and security, such as IP address, time, browser type and requested URL. Contact the site operator about privacy or data rights at hello@wattcalclab.com. Updated 2026-09-21.
